Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register for a Discovery Day?
Do you take any field trips during a Discovery Day?
Yes! If we take a field trip, then the cost of the field trip is included in the tuition. We've gone to art and science museums, zoos, and many other places in Kansas.
What's a typical day like?
We meet at the museum in the morning. If the weather is nice, we may head to our Outback Camp on Tuttle Creek Lake. If not, we'll stay at the museum for a day of fun! Some days we go on an exciting field trip.
Do you provide snacks or lunch?
Our campers will be given a healthy snack each day. We do not provide lunch. We ask that they come with a good pair of walking shoes, lunch and a water bottle.
What are the hours? Can I drop off my child later or pick them up earlier?
Discovery Day is from 8:30am to 5:30pm. If we go to our Outback Camp or take a field trip, we usually leave around 9:30am and return around 4:00pm. Let us know if you have special drop off or pick up needs outside of these hours.
What's the minimum age my child must be to attend?
Your child must be at least 6 years old and have completed kindergarten.
