The Outback Camp is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 limitations.
Our Outback Camp is an ideal location for team building, hiking, immersing yourself in nature, and arts and science projects. We host many groups and would encourage you to contact us to schedule a visit.
During the summer months, we have our "Think Big Summer Camps"; weekly day camps that are hosted at both our Outback Camp and our 4th Street Museum location. Think Big Summer Camp is our summer enrichment camp for students who are 6 to 11 years old.
Team building: Designed to strengthen relationships within a team, classroom, or group. Both physical and mental challenges require groups to work together to successfully complete the course. The group leader will receive our booklet with our 11 leadership skills to help develop leaders, and team building activities you can do with your group throughout the year.
Walking safari: In order to fully understand nature you must submerse yourself in it. At the Outback Camp there are no vehicles, trains or people to distract you. We explore the area through observation! The trails range from one to five miles.
Art/Science projects: Paper making, entomology, fossil scavenger hunt, nature journals, camp cooking, bird watching, animal track identification, etc. We try hard to accommodate any request you may have relating to activities. Let us know what you have in mind and we will do our best to create an experience that will satisfy your taste.
